Cultural counselling of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Dhaka at the end of this June in the form of the participation program of the international conference “Children’s and Youth Literature of Iran and Bangladesh” organized by the Department of Persian Language and Literature of Dhaka University and also in order to introduce the literature aimed at children and youth of our country for Bangladeshi audiences and enthusiasts, have translated and published two fictional works of Houshang Moradi Kermani, one of the well-known authors in the field of children’s and youth literature, in the Bengali language.
According to the coordination and agreement made with the secretary of this conference, it was decided that due to the permanence and effectiveness of the book in the mind and memory of the target audience and the target community, the type of cultural consultation participation of Iran in Bangladesh in this scientific and cultural event in the form of translation and the publication of two works by Houshang Moradi Kermani, that this conference will be held with an emphasis on his works and a review of his works.
The translator of “Anthology of Majid’s Tales” in Bengali Language, Abd al-Saburkhan, and the translator of “The Water Urn”, Mamit Al-Rashid, are both members of the academic staff of the Department of Persian Language and Literature of Dhaka University.
According to the plan, the two works will be formally presented at the International Conference on Children and Young Adult Literature in Iran and Bangladesh. Both works will be published by Nobannu Publication in Dhaka in 300 copies.
