The first conference of "Sacrifice Diplomacy"

In collaboration with Alhoda International, Cultural, Artistic and Publishing Institute, Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, and Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs, the first conference on Sacrifice Diplomacy focused on the establishment of modern Islamic civilization this morning (March 23) with the attendance of cultural figures and cultural advisors of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tunisia and Spain at the Shahid Rasoulzadeh Cultural Complex.

Rahim Narimani, General Manager of Documents and Publications of Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs, honouring Martyr’s Day and the memory of the martyrs of Islam and the Islamic Revolution, particularly those of cultural authority, said: If we aim to progress in the realm of modern Islamic civilization, resistance and promotion of the culture of sacrifice, we must address the matter of promotion of the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom. Emphasizing the significant role of media in promoting the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom, he added: Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs is prepared to organize meetings, exhibitions, and cultural weeks with a focus on sacrifice in collaboration with the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization and cultural advisors of the Islamic Republic of Iran abroad, focusing on the theme of sacrifice and martyrdom. Narimani highlighted the capabilities of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization in introducing the discourse of the Islamic Revolution and the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom to the world. Simultaneously, he discussed the characteristics of the new Islamic civilization in the Supreme Leader’s thought, stating: One of the fundamental issues that the Supreme Leader emphasized in the second 40 years of the revolution is the ability to increase our synergy coefficient in cultural institutions. He pointed out that two international book fairs focusing on promoting the culture of self-sacrifice will be held soon with the participation and cooperation of our country’s cultural advisors in Lebanon and Tunisia.

Mohammad Reza Bahmani, Deputy President of the Development of Scientific and Cultural Collaborations of Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, on the occasion of Martyr’s Day, stated: In the fundamental principles of revolutionary ideology, which originates from the ideology of the revolution’s leaders, Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader, the ideas that arise from the new foundations of Islam and envision the future of the Islamic world and humanity hold meaning and influence. He expressed: What has been formed in the past two decades based on these principles in terms of the establishment of a new Islamic civilization, is the notion that Imam Khomeini (RA) elucidated and the Supreme Leader also carries forward. The deputy president of the development of scientific and cultural collaboration said: In the concepts of civilization, two crucial concepts of social coexistence, the Islamic way of life, and Islamic community, are two fundamental and pivotal concepts where the convergence of these two concepts discovers the meaning of sacrifice and its position.

Bahmani added: What we should seek in the establishment of social connections and coexistence, as well as in the formation of the Islamic community, is to discover ideas that can regulate these human connections. He further stated: If we adhere to the Quranic interpretation of subservience in human relationships, the notion of selflessness, we will comprehend that selflessness is not confined to a particular geographical region. This is where we observe the significance that we have come to refer to in recent years as “guardians of the sanctuary”. This significance demonstrates that individuals outside the borders, embracing the concept of subservience from various parts of the Islamic world, make sacrifices for the accomplishment of a shared objective, which is to protect the sacred place and exhibit specific behaviours influenced by the culture of sacrifice.

The deputy president of the development of scientific and cultural collaboration emphasized: Fundamentally, the concepts of “social way of life” and “Islamic community” are two fundamental and crucial ideas in the literature and concepts of civilizational thought in the Islamic revolution. Referring to the significance of self-sacrifice in the Islamic community, Bahmani explained: that the language of self-sacrifice must become a language that can be engaged within the realm of self-sacrifice and martyrdom. The Islamic Culture and Relations Organization will be active in translating and publishing books, as well as in the field of self-sacrifice, in line with its mission, alongside the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs. While appreciating the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs’ focus on self-sacrifice, he said: If we can convert books into short videos using multimedia tools, perhaps we can achieve greater success in the field of self-sacrifice and martyrdom. The crucial role of cultural advisors in promoting the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom Mohammad Sadegh Hashemi, cultural and educational deputy of the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs, while congratulating the auspicious days of the month of Sha’ban and the anniversary of the establishment of the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs, pointed to the launching of the “System of Honorable Documents” and stated: The documents of the families of martyrs and veterans of over 70%, which were about 9 million files, were launched last night in the presence of the president. People all over the world and the country can utilize the honour documents system. He said: This year, a meeting with the families of the martyrs took place with the participation of popular organizations, and the people themselves visited the families of the martyrs. According to the Supreme Leader, “The peak of sacrifice is martyrdom”. Western countries attempt to propagate that individualism is more important than anything else, while this mindset leads to deception and the breakdown of families. Hashemi continued: “Individualism contradicts the promotion of the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom, and to foster collectivism and a peaceful life, it is necessary to promote the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom. Therefore, today, in addition to recognizing the peaks of sacrifice and martyrdom, which are the martyrs, the range of these peaks should also be introduced.” Promoting the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom is based on the actions of individuals.

The Deputy of Culture and Education at the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs, speaking about internationally renowned martyrs, said: “Sadeq Ganji” martyr is currently acknowledged in Pakistan and “Hajj Qasem Soleimani” martyr is acknowledged in Iraq. The actions of these people introduce the values of sacrifice and martyrdom, while the Western world today presents unrealistic and fictional heroes through its productions. We have not properly introduced our heroes to the world. Regarding the capabilities of the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs in producing books, films, and series that promote the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom, he mentioned that the Foundation does not impose restrictions on publishing books. However, these books should be translated in collaboration with publishers, as they can publish them globally and introduce the concepts of sacrifice and martyrdom to people around the world. Active and popular organizations also play a crucial role in promoting social self-sacrifice. Continuing his speech, Hashemi emphasized the role of cultural consultants in promoting the culture of selflessness and martyrdom. He stated that many individuals in other countries are eager to learn about martyrs, and it is the main responsibility of the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs to promote the culture of selflessness and martyrdom. One should strive to make this happen because it will bring many benefits.

Hojjat al-Islam Mohammad Asadi Mowahed, the Head of Alhoda International Institute, stated: The tree of the Islamic Revolution, from the beginning of Imam Khomeini’s movement until now, is continuously indebted to the sacrifices of enthusiastic men and women who have spared nothing in the pursuit of implementing the ideals of the revolution and Imam Khomeini, and the valuable objectives of the Supreme Leader. He added: This resilient tree has been consistently nourished with the pure blood of precious martyrs throughout these years, but what has gathered us together today is the preservation of the position of mothers who had the privilege to hold their hearts in the hands of the Holy Prophet, and all their endeavours during their precious lives were dedicated to raising a devout generation that cherished the principles of the school of the Great Prophet (PBUH) and followed the path of Imam Husain (PBUH) and the selfless warrior of Imam Mahdi (PBUH). The Head of Alhoda International Institute affirmed: This tree is continuously bearing fruits, and its fruits include: the triumph of the Islamic Revolution, the management of challenging crises, eight years of Holy Defense and glorious victory in it, safeguarding the Sanctity in the turmoil following the resolution and Sanctity of the province in the turmoil after the resolution, and presently safeguarding the Sanctum and maintaining security. No matter how grateful we are to these mothers, we cannot come close to its culmination.

Regarding the unveiling of the book “Phoenix the Conqueror”, he said: “Phoenix the Conqueror” will be revealed in two languages, recounting the role of the mother of Martyr General Mohsen Vezvaei. We have initiated a significant collaboration with the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs, aiming to translate books in this field into various languages, in compliance with the Supreme Leader’s directive to depict the era of Holy Defense and promote the concept of Jihad, selflessness, and martyrdom. Consequently, the translation of 50 book titles into 4 languages will be conclusive and ultimate. Hojjat al-Islam Asadi Mowahed declared the willingness of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization to organize exhibitions on the theme of self-sacrifice and resistance, to introduce the culture of self-sacrifice and martyrdom on the global stage.

In the following, Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Javad Abolqasemi, the representative of the Vice President of International Affairs of the Office of the Supreme Leader, emphasized the importance of institutionalizing the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom in society. By establishing live communication with the cultural advisors of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Spain and Tunisia, suggestions were made regarding the production of movies and series that highlight the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom. Additionally, it was proposed to organize an international congress that focuses on the themes of “Fighting Colonialism” and “Freedom of Quds” with the participation of the families of martyrs, “introducing true Iran to the world”, holding the seminar titled “Sacrifice; The Language of Universal Peace”, and “translating books related to the culture of self-sacrifice into various languages”. According to the announcement, the conference concluded with the unveiling of the English and Arabic translations of the book “Phoenix the Conqueror” and 15 other translated book titles by Shahed Publishing House. The family members of Martyrs “Hujjat al-Islam Martyr Ibrahim Ansari”, “Mohammed Ali Rahimi”, and “Sadeq Ganji”, as well as the English translator of the book “Phoenix the Conqueror”, were honoured at the end of this event.
