One of the most important lacunae in the world of research is comparative studies on civilizational knowledge. A comparative review of thoughts calls for a new approach to Islamic civilization. The present book comprises a brief review of some of the most important civilizational theories presented to the International Festival of New Islamic Civilization, which is being organized through the efforts of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization. The main objective of this festival is to bring together the civilizational theoreticians of the Islamic Republic of Iran and other Islamic Countries in order to do away with the existing shortcomings in the field of scientific interactions and networking in this very important field of study.
This work includes: “Civilizational Proximity” by Zaki Al-Milad from Saudi Arabia; “The Macro Formulation of Civilizational Theory” by Dr. Abdul Majid Al-Najjar from Tunisia; “Originality of Diversity in the Monotheistic Civilization” by Dr. Habibollah Babaei from Iran; “The Theory of Islamic Civilization” by Dr. Musa Najafi from Iran; “Civilizational Approach to International Relations” by Nadia Mustafa Mahmoud from Egypt; “Teaching, the Gateway to Civilization” by Syed Muhammad al Naquib bin Ali al-Attas from Malaysia; The theory of “From Science to Monotheistic Civilization” by Osman Bakar from Malaysia; and “Civilizational Approaches in Contemporary Türkiye” by Ekmeleddin Mehmet İhsanoğlu from Türkiye.
