Despite lapse of one and half a century from advent of modernism in Iran, there are still talks on democracy and “Mardomsalari” (People – oriented political system).
Restriction of government authority and transfer of rule to the public has since the Constitutional Movement onward been the most important topic of argument among Iranians. The controversy between the fundamentalists and modernists on transfer of rule and participation or non-intervention of the public in the government has always been open to many new dimensions and approaches and unsettled disputes.
That is the main question on table in the Seminar on Religious Democracy, sponsored by the Institution of Leadership Representative Offices in Universities. In the meeting, tens of articles and speeches were presented by thinkers and experts.
The Center for Organizing Translation and Publication of Islamic Instructions and Humanities has undertaken the translation of the “collection of Articles on Religious Democracy” both into Arabic and English languages. Publication of the collection, comprising top articles of the Seminar, aims at dissemination of injunctions of pure Islam and discourse on Islamic Revolution and increasing impact of the views of Iranian Muslim scholars on the contemporary world’s intellectual disciplines and scientific and cultural products.
