In 1361, when I went to the front, among the martyrs of the 27th division, only one captured my heart. Perhaps because in the first months after going to the front, I had joined a battalion formed by him and one of his subordinates who was the battalion commander at that time and always mentioned this legendary commander. The main subject of his talk was the country’s top student in chemistry in 1977, who also played a role in the conquest of the Great Satan`s Spy House on November 4, 1979. This person did not none other than the martyr Mohsen Vezvaei, who remained at the forefront of the western and southern war fronts during the time of the Holy Defense.
One of my wishes was that one day a writer would start writing the story of this historical hero and make it accessible to future generations in the form of a book. But alas, this wish remained a dream until 2005. In 2005, the research and writing on the first edition of this book began and ended in 2006.
Triumphant Phoenix, the second and revised title, was completed and released in 2011.
I would like to thank all my comrades, as well as the family members of Martyr Mohsen Vezvaei, especially his venerable brother, engineer Abdul Reza Vezvaei, and engineer Mohammad Ibrahim Shafiei, loyal companions of Martyr Vezvaei during the years of Holy Defence.
