Wound and Olive

Collecting, editing, and publishing the activities and reminiscences of the time of responsibility of senior representatives in diplomacy is one of the precious traditions that, in addition to assisting in recording the oral history of any land, is the reason for the transfer of experience and the reuse of success strategies in the field of political, executive, and cultural planning in the field of public diplomacy of countries. In this regard, Dr Abbas Khameyar, who has been serving as the chief manager and cultural counsellor of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization in the field of international cultural relations of the Islamic Republic of Iran for more than thirty years, has taken a valuable step. In continuation of this precious flow, he has collected, rewritten, and recorded the events of the text and margins of the meetings he had with political, religious, cultural, academic, and seminary figures during the mission in Arab countries. Alhoda International, Cultural, Artistic and Publishing Institution, the publishing service of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, to publish and promote the achievements of countries’ general diplomacy, through translating and publishing the precious book “Wound and Olive”, presenting these experiences to Arab-speaking audiences, attempted to assist the platform of cultural interactions of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the political and cultural agents of Arab countries and other people interested in this field in the Arab world. It is hoped that with the continuation of this cultural and propaganda flow and this good tradition of recording, analyzing, and publishing successful experiences in the field of cultural-political diplomacy of the country, with the assistance of Almighty God, we will witness more successes in other areas of the cultural and political geography of the world.
