After the glorious martyrdoms, hearts are now filled with the question as to what will become of the Ummah.
The martyrdom of Sayyid Hassan Nasrullah (RA) has rendered hearts broken and aggrieved, but it must be remembered that martyrdom and sacrifice run in our veins like that blood which is the foundation of all glory.
History stamps a validation on the fact that certainly after sacrifices, the path to victory is paved. This is not just about one martyr. Recently, the world has witnessed, before this recent martyrdom, the inimitable glorious sacrifices of inimitable soldiers like Iranian President Martyr Ebrahim Raisi (RA), General Qasem Soleimani (RA), and Ismail Haniyeh (RA).
32 years ago, the Secretary General of Hezbollah, Syed Abbas Mousavi (RA) was martyred and Israel claimed that the show was over for Hezbollah.
People had voiced their concern then also: what will become of the nation? But then we saw the rise of a soldier to the forefront, Sayyid Hassan Nasrullah (RA) who caused great trouble to Israel.
However, do not let disappointment occupy your heart. Even before this instance, our precious and glorious personalities have been martyred in the way of Allah. The pure blood of the sacrificed martyrs has endowed humanity’s soul with the light of eternal life.
Remember the past that after every glorious martyrdom, the question arises in hearts as to what will become of the nation now.
It is known that Iran and Iraq have lost their precious, beloved ones in sacrifices in the way of Allah.
Before and after the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khomeini (RA) lost his closest ones, including his beloved son, Syed Mustafa Khomeini (RA)
Besides, the community has lost gems like Abbas Babai (RA), Martyr Ibrahim Hadi (RA), and Martyr Chamran (RA).
Not only this, 17 thousand women martyrs contributed to the success of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, whose sacrifices have etched awe-inspiring sketches: we lost them too.
In Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery of Tehran and other places in Iran, thousands of unnamed martyrs lie buried: we lost them too.
Ayatollah Martyr Beheshti (RA), Ayatullah Motahhari (RA), Martyr Muhammad Baqir Al-Sadr (RA), and Martyr Musa Al-Sadr (RA) who has been rendered missing from Libya and whose whereabouts are unknown now for a long time: we have lost them too.
More than 118 members of the family of Ayatullah Mohsin Al-Hakim (RA) were martyred: we lost them too.
When the sister of Ayatullah Baqir Al-Sadr was being killed ruthlessly in front of his eyes, she called out to her brother and said: “Do not, O brother, ever bow down your head (to their oppression)”: we lost the likes of her too.
When Ayatullah Khomeini (RA) bid farewell to this world, the world asked: What will become of the nation? And we saw Ayatollah Khamenei as his successor.

The question is: were we defeated after all these martyrdoms and sacrifices?
Did the people of Iran and Iraq bow down their heads to the oppressors after the martyrdom of their learned leaders?
Not at all! Rather, from the depths of destiny, an unnamed soldier kept rising who championed the cause of and took forward the caravan of peace and humanity. The truth is every drop of the martyr’s blood endows existence to a new life.
Allah sent down Prophets (AS) and Ahl al-Bayt (AS) amongst us.
When they were no more amongst us and when they were martyred, then too, the same question had arisen: what will become of the Ummah now?
But till this day, we have our Means of Salvation, Imam Mahdi (AS) with us.
Remember and ponder! The blood of martyrs is not lost in the earth. Rather, it shakes the throne and crown of oppressors and erases the names of their succeeding generations from the pages of existence.
After every martyrdom, one must admit that one grows more powerful than before because sacrifices make men mortal and the nation immortal. Spiritual battles defeat material wars.
The Zionist enemy presumes that they have finished us. However, the lovers of martyrs will not die after martyrdom: they come like angels from the sky, like the drops of rain.
Their numbers will always swell and they will certainly be victorious over the oppressors.
By laying down his life, Imam Hussain (AS) has given the world a legacy of martyrdom and an eternal message that martyrs will be the archrival and the cause of punishment for every oppressor.
